Have Fun Learning English in Canada This Summer
Lexis is a leader in ESL education. We provide the highest quality programs for students of all ages. Each summer since 2000, students from around the world have learned English at our beautiful college campus in Toronto, Canada’s largest, most interesting city. Students learn better when they’re having fun. In addition to traditional classroom instruction, Lexis teaches English through drama, games, movies, sports, excursions and the Internet.
The City is Our ESL Classroom
On daily afternoon excursions, the city becomes our classroom. Students practice English and learn about North American culture while bicycling on Toronto Island, touring City TV, going to a Toronto Blue Jays major league baseball game, or eating hot dogs and ice cream at Toronto City Hall. Weekend activities include trips to world-famous Niagara Falls, Canada’s Wonderland giant amusement park, Marineland and Wild Water Kingdom.
Students Speak English All Day
Our daily excursions sound like fun, and they are. But they’re also part of how we teach English—by encouraging students to speak English all day as part of their everyday life. During morning instruction, students learn English vocabulary and grammar. On afternoon trips, they practice what they’ve learned speaking with new friends from other countries.
Prepare for Canadian High School or University
We hope your successful summer with Lexis is only the beginning of your education in Canada. Lexis works with Toronto area school boards to provide a smooth entry for students who wish to attend high school for a full academic year. We offer a summer preparation program to get new students ready to start a school year in Canada. All our students receive free counselling and assistance with school placement and registration in Canada—even after they have returned home!
